My Favorite Catches of 2014

Cutthroat Trout Fishing Wyoming

I started this website a year ago in hopes to publish some of my fly fishing and outdoors pursuits. Having a great love for fish and a desire to capture my moments with them, I started off with absolutely no experience in photography, video, or editing. So the fact that I have made it this far in a year’s time is enough to put a huge smile on my face. And here is a video to sum it all up.

Sitting down to put this video together was a huge challenge. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. After only a few hours of sorting through a years worth of fishing video all I had achieved was a huge headache. But I knew there had to be a way to get this thing done.

The next morning I awoke with a little more perseverance and was able to get the ball rolling. Although I had to leave some awesome fish out of this video, I think it is a great memorial of how much I was blessed by nature’s hidden treasures.

Remember, no matter what happens in life…

Keep your hearts right, and your lines tight!

I’m Capt. Jesse Males, an avid fly fishing, snook snatching, kayak paddling, tarpon slaying, mountain hiking, manatee swimming fool from Central Florida. Over the years fly fishing has had a huge impact on my life and particularly on how I view the world we spend our time in. I am currently the owner and operator of as well as our online fly shop, The lifestyle that is called fly fishing has taken me to some amazing destinations and has provided me with some amazing experiences in the wild. From chasing big salty critters in the Florida Keys, to roosters in Coast Rica, to small wild trout in the Carolinas, and all the way up to the high mountain cutthroat of Wyoming; I have been blessed to experience fly fishing at its finest.
