“Fishing for Costa Rican wild trout is something that has really captivated me.” – Jesse Males
Since I first came to Costa Rica I have dreamed of creeping up secret jungle creeks and casting small dries at wild rainbows. Well, my dream finally came true!

Thanks to a good friend and some blind luck, I was blessed with the opportunity to land some of these beautiful fish. Small pools with overhanging branches and vines made it very difficult to do a standard cast. Therefore, bow and arrow casts were very useful in launching the fly through the cover and into the desired pool.

I must say that I am very happy to have finally got a close up look at these awesome fish! The N-7 Series by Walton Rods is the perfect rod for doing work on these tight jungles streams. Learn more about this rod by visiting www.waltonrods.com.
