“The clouser minnow fly has long been a staple in both freshwater and saltwater fishing scenarios. Here are three variations that you need to know.” – Jesse Males

Here is the 10th video of the Backwater Vlog showcasing some epic variations to the clouser minnow that every fly tyer should know how to tie!

As you can see, tying the clouser minnow isn’t hard and it catches a ton of fish in more scenarios than most anglers will find themselves in in a lifetime.

Where you whip it up high-tie style, ribbed, or with some ostrich feathers thrown in there, this lil dude has proven itself time and time again! Next time you are whipping up a batch be sure to mix some of these in there.

I’m Capt. Jesse Males, an avid fly fishing, snook snatching, kayak paddling, tarpon slaying, mountain hiking, manatee swimming fool from Central Florida. Over the years fly fishing has had a huge impact on my life and particularly on how I view the world we spend our time in. I am currently the owner and operator of backwaterflyfishing.com as well as our online fly shop, backwaterflies.com. The lifestyle that is called fly fishing has taken me to some amazing destinations and has provided me with some amazing experiences in the wild. From chasing big salty critters in the Florida Keys, to roosters in Coast Rica, to small wild trout in the Carolinas, and all the way up to the high mountain cutthroat of Wyoming; I have been blessed to experience fly fishing at its finest.
