Two-Tone Camarón: Backwater Vlog Episode Eight

two tone camarón shrimp fly

“The Two-Tone Camarón is a great redfish fly for any portion of the gulf coast! ENJOY!” –Jesse Males

I first posted this pattern to my Instagram and Facebook pages about 9 months ago and am finally getting around to whipping up an HD Fly Tying Video about it. Hold on to your hats and check out Episode Eight of the Backwater Vlog series!

As you can see this fly uses quite a few materials but in a way that even beginner fly tyers can complete. It is a great fly for redfish, seatrout, and snook but also can be tied smaller for bonefish as well.

Give it a go next time you hit the water!

Oh, and don’t forget to Like my Instagram and Facebook pages in order to stay up to date on all the good stuff coming off my fly tying desk.

Tight lines,

Jesse Males

I’m Capt. Jesse Males, an avid fly fishing, snook snatching, kayak paddling, tarpon slaying, mountain hiking, manatee swimming fool from Central Florida. Over the years fly fishing has had a huge impact on my life and particularly on how I view the world we spend our time in. I am currently the owner and operator of as well as our online fly shop, The lifestyle that is called fly fishing has taken me to some amazing destinations and has provided me with some amazing experiences in the wild. From chasing big salty critters in the Florida Keys, to roosters in Coast Rica, to small wild trout in the Carolinas, and all the way up to the high mountain cutthroat of Wyoming; I have been blessed to experience fly fishing at its finest.
