For the past two and a half years I have ran around the jungle in search of the best jungle trout fishing, machaca fishing, and pacific coast kayak fishing possible. Now, a few good friends and I are running trips via our new guiding platform www.506outdoors.com.

 Jungle Trout Fishing

We will be offering guided fly fishing for jungle trout in the high mountains. Here we can take anglers of all skill levels to catch some of the most beautiful rainbow trout on earth. All in the beautiful surroundings of Costa Rica’s high mountains.

Machaca Float Trips

Aside from the killer trout fishing we also offer float trips for machaca. These fish are cousins of the piranha and love smashing poppers and other topwater patterns. They jump like baby tarpon when hooked and then it is off to the races. Big machaca are great fun on a 6-8wt fly rod.

Pacific Coast Kayak Fishing 

As if jungle trout fishing and machaca float trips are not enough, we are also offering kayak fishing tours on Costa Rica’s pacific coast. We will be offering full day trips as well as overnight beach camping trips. We will be servicing both the central coastline from Quepos to Jaco as well as areas in the Guanacaste region. We often target roosterfish, jacks, tuna, mahi mahi, mackerel depending on the season and where we will be fishing.
