“Fly fishing in Costa Rica is something that every traveling fly angler needs to experience. Now, it is easier than ever!” – Jesse Males
For the past 2.5 years I have been running around Costa Rica looking for the best fishing opportunities and this short video from a recent trip shows just how awesome it can be.
Recently, some friends and I spent a week running around the jungle trying to catch as many fish species in a week as we could. We managed to land Tarpon, Roosterfish, Jacks, Rainbow Bass, Machaca, Mojarra, and Tigres all in a matter of a 5 days of fishing. It is important to note that we were absolutely pushing the limits to see just what we could accomplish in that time. However, it goes to show just how awesome this place can be.
Here is a short video of the week and what we were able to accomplish.
As you can see we had a blast and absolutely crushed it out there!
For those of you that don’t know, 506 Outdoors is my new guiding business in Costa Rica that will be launching at the end of April this year. I am very excited to be able to offer jungle trout fishing tours, machaca fishing float trips, pacific coast kayak fishing, and overnight extended beach camping trips on the pacific coast as well.
