“I am thrilled to announce I will now be offering premium costa rican adventures through 506 Outdoors!” – Jesse Males

For those of you that have followed my Backwater Fly Fishing posts via Instagram and Facebook, you know I have spent the last 2.5 years running around Costa Rica seeking out its best fishing opportunities. Now, through 506 Outdoors I will be offering multiple different fishing opportunities including jungle trout fishing, machaca float trips down pristine jungle rivers, and pacific coast kayak fishing trips ranging from single day to multi-day overnight trips on remote beaches.

To get a glimpse of some of the kayak fishing action available, here is a quick video that will help sum things up.

As you can see from the video, you never know what you are going to pull up while kayak fishing Costa Rica. At 506 Outdoors we service all areas of the pacific coast with our focus on Guanacaste, Quepos, and Jaco.

I’m Capt. Jesse Males, an avid fly fishing, snook snatching, kayak paddling, tarpon slaying, mountain hiking, manatee swimming fool from Central Florida. Over the years fly fishing has had a huge impact on my life and particularly on how I view the world we spend our time in. I am currently the owner and operator of backwaterflyfishing.com as well as our online fly shop, backwaterflies.com. The lifestyle that is called fly fishing has taken me to some amazing destinations and has provided me with some amazing experiences in the wild. From chasing big salty critters in the Florida Keys, to roosters in Coast Rica, to small wild trout in the Carolinas, and all the way up to the high mountain cutthroat of Wyoming; I have been blessed to experience fly fishing at its finest.
