“If backpacking and high mountain trout fishing is something you have always wanted to do, then this is your lucky day!” – Capt. Jesse Males
So here is the deal. I am currently looking for four participants to join me on a 100 mile backcountry trip in Wyoming this August. The trip will start on August the 2nd and will end on the 11th. The first few days we will spend stretching our legs on one of my favorite trout streams and then head for a 5 day loop in the Wind River Range. Both places will provide shots at monster cutthroat trout as well as plenty of brookies.
Here is one of my videos from this area I did a few years back.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS TRIP FEATURES EXTREMELY DIFFICULT HIKING TRAILS. WE WILL EXPERIENCE ALTITUDES FROM 8,000-11,500 FT. ONLY PEOPLE THAT ARE IN PEAK PHYSICAL CONDITION AND CAPABLE OF PUTTING IN 100 MILES OF GNARLY TRAIL SHOULD APPLY.
NOTE #2: EACH PERSON MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN HIKING, BACKPACKING, AND FISHING GEAR!
I am sending this invite out to anyone that would want to join me. There are currently only 4 spots available. All you have to do is send an email with a resume and your hiking/fly fishing experience to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All I am charging is a $150 dollar fee for the trip as well as each persons portion for the rental car. The idea for the trip isn’t to make money, but rather to meet like minded people and experience some of the best fly wishing the wild west has to offer.
As usually I will be bringing my camera gear and doing plenty of photography and filming during the trip. If you are camera shy, then you may want to rethink applying for this one.
I look forward to hearing from everyone and sorting through the applications. The application period will end on Wednesday, June 7th. I will email the selected participants shortly after that.
