“I am very excited to reveal the film trailer to a new project I am working on called Broke and Fly Productions!” – Capt. Jesse Males

This is the first film project being put out by Broke and Fly Productions. We were happy to be supported on this trip by awesome brands like, Maui Jim, Howler Bros, Walton Rods, Galvan Fly Reels, Fishpond, Kill Creek Clothing, and Outdoor Professionals!

Broke and Fly Productions is the brainchild of myself and fellow fly fishing junkie, Peter Husted!

Our film titled, GUADELOUPE, showcases what happens when you put two good old southern boys from the motherland and 3 danish dudes on a French island for a week! In the film we target bonefish, permit, tarpon, and snook all while trying to figure out how to have the best time as possible!

Here is the trailer for the full film that will be dropping on 5/15!BrokeFly Blue Outline

I’m Capt. Jesse Males, an avid fly fishing, snook snatching, kayak paddling, tarpon slaying, mountain hiking, manatee swimming fool from Central Florida. Over the years fly fishing has had a huge impact on my life and particularly on how I view the world we spend our time in. I am currently the owner and operator of backwaterflyfishing.com as well as our online fly shop, backwaterflies.com. The lifestyle that is called fly fishing has taken me to some amazing destinations and has provided me with some amazing experiences in the wild. From chasing big salty critters in the Florida Keys, to roosters in Coast Rica, to small wild trout in the Carolinas, and all the way up to the high mountain cutthroat of Wyoming; I have been blessed to experience fly fishing at its finest.
