During my recent trip to Florida I had the pleasure of meeting up with Derick Burgos over at Phatfish Kayak Charters. This guy knows his fish and the area like the back of his hand.
Before the sun was up we could hear the baby tarpon rolling all around us. Call it luck, but on my first cast I was able to get hooked up on a nice fish. We went on to land multiple juvenile snook along the mangroves before calling it quits around 10 am.
