Tying Video: Tarpon Toad Variation

I am very excited to launch the first of many fly tying videos set out to help deliver high quality, set by step fly tying instructions that do not take all day to watch. This first pattern is a variation of a classic tarpon fly called the Tarpon Toad. This fly pattern was originally tied quite different than the updated version shown in this video; however, the matterials listed are quite easy to work with and make for a killer fly in the water.

This is a great fly to experiment with some of your favorite colors as well. Marabou and EP Dub materials come in an almost unlimitted range colors. This tan/rust and pink/sand color combo are among my favorite. Other classic tarpon colors like black, red, purple, Fl. green, yellow, tan, and white all have the potential to do well in certain situations.
